We have 2 funny little birds, I think they are housemartins who are flying up to our patio windows and just hovering and swooping around for ages. Dave thinks they are the ones who were nesting in our lounge and the apartment downstairs whilst we were reforming the house over the last couple of years.
I am sure I am going to come home one night and find them building a nest along the beams! I keep trying to get a photo but they are too quick! Smiley

Oh cool, try and get a picture of them! They sound like they might be House Martins. We have had plenty around our house and yes they do swoop, we have them in and out of the terrace too!  Smiley

OOOO yeah we would like to see pics especially of babies Smiley

Could they also be swallows? They are very partial to beams and swoop, they generally do not land on the ground either so they build high nests.

Update to the previous post - they are now nesting in the storeroom. I am definitely going to get some pictures of them this weekend.

I think they might be crag martins, which seem even more common than house martins in this part of the world.

See if you can spot the white mark underneath their tails - that's the best way to tell.
