Hola and welcome to the forum

Where are you based in Spain? We have an introduction page if you fancy writing a bit about yourself, your garden etc we would be very happy to read about you Smiley

We have a thread about lemon trees and if I may point you in the right direction

I love my lemon and orange trees which have started to grow rapidly since the heavy summer started

How on earth did you manage to get a cutting from the USA and manage to get it to live - rock on!

Speak soon

Dear "the Count"

watch out for mealy bug.  my citrus trees are smothered in them.  I am treating them with alcohol bought for 90 centimes in Mercadona, as per instructions on net.  But I have lots of fruit.

Mealy bug eh, I will have to go have a look at my lemon trees and see if I am getting any of them lurking about, first time I have heard about that, my lemon tree is looking OK, it is very young and I have not had fruit yet, we only moved into this house last November so I am still getting familiar with a lot of what is growing.

Mind you, most of it is dying at the moment due to the heat

I went to have a look at my lemon trees yesterday after we were discussing them and was horrified to notice that one of them has shriveled big time, it gets irrigation every day but it was a very young tree that I brought from Torreblanca in a pot with me to Monda, it was then planted in the ground and seemed to thrive - until the heat arrived..............

I gave it a good drink last night and I will do the same again tonight, I think the poor thing is starved of water - the whole garden is going to pot since the heat of the summer came Sad
