If anyone else has (like me) too many pomegranates to cope with, I've just found out that they can be stored whole in a fridge for up to three months, or frozen whole, or juiced and then frozen.

Whatever you do, don't let them rot on the tree. They're a real superfood, the juice is packed with antioxidants - and it's absolutely delicious! Their only drawback is that they're a pain to eat, and the seeds are a little bitter, but the juice....mmmmm....!

I have a couple pomegranate trees and never really knew what to do with them. I will pick the fruit and store them in the fridge now i know i can store them for that long, better than letting the tree rats get to them!
Thanks for the advice Alec  Smiley

They are absolutely very good for you and that is great that you can keep them. I would juice them and then store in the freezer, I love doing juices anyway and regularly have orange, carrot and grapefruit, yummy!

My pomegranate tree is still a lickle baby so I will have to wait before I can join the rest of you Smiley
