Hola
I have yet another gorgeous pink flower that has come into bloom, this is a climber and grows very quickly, this is the first time it has flowered since I have lived in this new house so I am eager to know what it is, I want to buy more for down the fence!
Thanks

Isn't it lovely? I have one rambling over the front wall - where passersby get a better view of it than I. I think it's called Campsis or more specifically Podranea Ricasoliana - pink trumpet vine. Readily available from most garden centres.

Hola Los Montes Yes I absolutely love it! I have been waiting all this time for it to flower and now it has I am over-joyed I have found it in my book and I believe you are right, thanks so much for letting me know. I hate having plants and flowers in my garden that I don't know the name of, I am trying to build a database that I can eventually share with the group so we can build our own gardens on the website - knowing the name helps I will do a little write up about Campsis now Thanks Campo Girl

so what is this flower's name?
Long silence from me because I have had to take back my pub in Gibraltar. The only gardening I am doing right now are the window boxes outside, which have been left in a mess. And the garden centre in San Roque has closed - does anyone know why?

According to my book the name is Bignonia Ricosolena and there are at least 3 others in the same family all with different beautiful flowers. If you have Lorraine Cavanagh´s Mediterranean Garden Plant book they are listed on pages 90 - 97, with piccies. Liz

Hola Jane
Nice to hear from you again. Shame you are not getting much gardening done but gardening does take a lot of our time, window boxes are nice though and you can get just as much pleasure from them, are you growing any herbs?
I imagine running the pub is hectic and taking a lot of your time.
I have just got back into gardening after the summer and I have been planting seeds and tidying up in general.
Take care

Hola Liz Hope you are well, thanks for letting us know about the Bignonia, I know what to ask for now at the garden centre, I plan on putting some more in the grow over the fence and provide some privacy

Hola Gayley We named this a little while ago and we have made a post about it, you can view that post below if you wish. I have this growing up the bar wall and I love it, going to get me some more! Campsis
