Chris and I have spent the most of today tightening up our forum (our spammers will be getting this email also, sorry to upset you and ruin your plans but hey if you are spammer you get what your deserve!).
We have changed permissions on all member statuses and "new" members cannot add attachments, post signature links, edit posts, view member lists and much more, this is to protect our loyal members as we don't want you being spammed about gardening forum spain or medical advice that we didn't ask for. We are, afterall, a Gardening Community and a Gardening Community we will stay, we are here to protect you as loyal members.
Each member status is allowed extras within their forum profiles, we have set minimum number of posts that is required for each status to be attached to your member name, I won't tell you what they are as spammers will get this email don't forget
We have also upgraded a few members who have contributed
gayleywayley - you are now a junior member
littledigger - you are now a junior member
Alec - you are now a moderator with Liz
Liz - as a moderator you are now able to delete offending posts - you couldn't before
susaninspain - 2 more posts and you join the junior member group from newbie
We are now going to try and install new mods that should be more fun for everyone involved and make user interaction easier.
