Absolutely perfect, you now have your garden ready with its winter veggies.  Not only do you save money on growing your own stuff but during the year you change the produce  according to the season and have fresh healthy veg and fruit all year round plus not to mentio the shear joy of being outdoors in the nice sunshine, getting some exercise and doing something that you can reap the friuts of your labor as they say  Grin

Hola Jonas

Teddi is in the USA, we do have a similar climate to some areas of the USA though so we are able to grow similar plants/flowers/produce

Always good fun to compare Smiley

Hi Jonas, Hi all,

As Campo girl said I am in, Texas, USA so cannot comment too much on growing things in Spain.  The reason though I am able to express myself as I worked and lived for over 4 years in the Olive groves and grapes vines of the Chianti region in Tuscany.  The weather in Italy is about the same as in the South of Spain with the only difference being that in Tuscany it gets much colder in the winter.  In Italy I was living with farmers who still did everything in the old fashioned way so I was able to learn, experience and ask advice from them.  I, personally have only planted summer vegetables, salad, tomatoes, cuandalucia gardening bers and basil but I remember the satisfaction that with just a little bit of nurturing and water daily the amount of nourishment you received and you knew that it was all natural and nobody had 'mucked' around with it.  Plus there was always fresh fruit to pick from the trees and the bushes, strawberries, blackberries, grapes, lemons, oranges, apricots, peaches apples, pears plus almonds, hazel nuts and then the green beans and zucchini, olives, olive oil, wine all around and that was just so fantastic, there are others but names aren't coming to mind.    As everything naturally grown always has a much more exquisit taste.  Since I have been in 'USA' ( Undecided).  I have just been looking after the garden with flowers that is very satisfying as well but you can't eat anything.  I have also planted rosemary and basil.

I was just enjoying imagining being with campo girl, on my knees and up to my elbows in dirt putting together the perfect garden.  Smiley :'(  I miss Europe and the open air and spaces

Hola Teddi

To upload photos you need to click additional options underneath the area where you post/type, in this section there is a "browse" button where you can upload your pictures.

You will have to reduce the size of these images though, there is a restriction on the image size Wink

Finally I have got my Cauliflowers and Brussels in the new veggie patch! I know its completely the wronge time to plant these but needed to get them in. Hopefully they will be ok, they look healthy enough!

Also seperated my onions, as there were to many growing in one place and they would not have grown properly or very big!

Unfortunatly there are not as many carrots as I hoped, I think my kitten had a field day digging the seeds up after I had planted them! But there are a few still growing.  Smiley

Hola G

That looks great, and they do look very healthy, I hope they will be OK; I too moved my carrots last weekend to a new patch as they also came up altogether in the same place and I would have ended up with very strange shaped carrots!

Look forward to tasting the new produce and like I said yesterday we should grow different vegetables and fruits so we can keep each other in the "Good Life"

I bought some more mint, rosemary and lavendar this morning when we got the logs, this is for the area I showed you the other day - near the septic tank, where the land looks naff, I plan on planting palm trees and then the mint, lavender and rosemary, this should all take over very nicely on that side of the land and make it look more attractive throughout the year, better than seeing crap anyway! Wink

Well done on the new patch and keep it up Smiley
