Hi Thank you for letting me join you exclusive club.
I think giving advice in a little world of enthusiastic gardeners is like teaching your Granny to suck eggs but maybe changes in thinking differently is all that is needed.  Everything we throw away could possibly be used.
Approaches to methods used, maybe changing to fruits/veg/flowers to ones that can be easily propagated so gaining free plants, to grow on. Meeting up and having swap shops with plants is good, just make sure you don t give free pests and diseases away at same time.
Large plastic water bottle can be used as cloches/protection from pesky animals trying to get at your plants.
Many containers can be used as propogate including the good old egg boxes which lots of people know about. Just look at your rubbish and think could I turn that into good use ?
If you are on water meters then collecting grey water can save you a fortune in the garden. And as for the bath, well, when I worked on an Estate I grabbed an old bath (yep easy where I worked) and sunk it 3/4 into ground and made a great little pond, the ducks and peacocks loved it as well for a drink and a paddle lol. Pallets made fantastic composters. Thats my little contribution today. I shall give a bit of my background another day. I was only pro for short time and mad gardener for much much longer just like most of us.

Hola Lynne

Thanks for your post, nice to have you hear, I also sent you an invite to join us on the blog, if you are new to blogging then they are basically online diaries and much more, with a blog you can talk about any subject of your choosing, style the post and add links (I can help you there)

If you like you can make your first post about Garden Recycling Smiley

Gardening Spain Blog

I must admit I don't recycle much, Spain doesn't really encourage it that much, I have no where near me which takes plastic bottles and glass etc, we just have a load of bins at the end of the track where we dump everything, I will read your post again and see where we can save money and recycle in the garden

Thanks again

Simone
