Here are some very large rambling roses that I have down the bar, looking forward to them opening and getting some nice flowers for the house, these grow really tall, they are in the wrong place (we didn't plant them there!) but there are so big it will be a bit of an effort to get them out!

anyone know a good place to buy roses near velez? I'm planning to plant a LOT of roses, I do so love them, and was planning to get them from the UK, but maybe there's a good rose-place here? strong smelling pink climbers is what I want!

Anyone ever heard of "Rambling Rector"??  My auntie has it in her garden in the UK and it is a beautiful scrambling/rambling white rose, which flowers profusely, it is quite an old plant and I have never found it anywhere to buy.  ¿¿Failing this, any tips for growing from cuttings???

I saw it on Harknell's website
Rambling Rector Rose Harknell's Website

it does look pretty!
Mind you, the harknell guy I spoke to said that for spain you should look for 5 star roses, because 3 stars may mean they won't make it in Spain. But if you've always wanted one...
Actully, if you're serious about getting it from harknell, maybe drop me a line? I'm planning to order some roses there and if we combine we will save on shipping!

Hi Lizzy, had a look on Harkness' site but as you say they recommend 5 star for Spain and RR is only 3 star so don't think I could justify the expense for something that might not take.  It is a very tempting site though, I had to come out of it quickly before I capitulated! Cheesy  Hope you manage to find someone to share the delivery charges with - what roses are you selecting?

They look super, pink theme eh Smiley  The Times Past reminds me of a bourbon climber we grew in the UK called Mme Isaac Periere, it was a bit deeper pink and had the most gorgeous perfume, being "old fashioned" it took a bit of caring for, ha wouldn´t stand a chance over here.   Bet you can´t wait for November!
