We had a Horse Shoe Whip Snake appear in our garden in December, he was heading for the pool and was rather large - we took a video of and the link is below

They are rare according to the internet and we are lucky to have seen it - it is not poisonous - I think it was thirsty!

Oooo I don't like snakes! Anything that wriggles like that, very brave of you to pick it up, I think I would have run the other way

LOL, I don't mind them too much. Don't mind mice or rats either - I wouldn't pick one up with bare hands mind you!
