Whilst my husband was cleaning the pool the other day he found this floating in the pool. He went to get something to put it in, when he got back to the pool it had gone! Later on in the day he went to clean the skimmers out and there it was floating in the basket, obviously dead. So we scooped him out and put him in an old jar. The next day, much to our surprise, he was still alive! We let him out, but I think he had pretty much had it Sad

We think it could have been a hornet?

Anybody else seen any of these flying about?

We didn't have one of them but something that looked like the body bit wasn't connected to the head!

He is nasty but nice - they kill other bees too don't they the hornets they are not nice to their fellow species!
