I am sharing all my great ideas before they go from my head and stuff I have had written down for ages so you too can share your great ideas for things and stuff you find lying around in the garden or shed

Give old wine boxes a new lease of life by painting them in vibrant colours. Line the boxes with strong bin bags and fill with compost (or use the compost bag itself) and flowers. Marigolds will flower well into autumn if kept in a warm spot. Drill holes in the base of old food cans. Undercoat, then cover with gloss paint. petunias and dwarf dahlias will all flower in autumn.

If you have a tired looking trellis, paint it a warm colour then adorn with cups or painted pots full of autumn flowers.

Paint a can in a different colour to the flowers you intend to grow. Green is a great contrast to purple bloom.

Bored with plain terracotta pots? Show off your winter pansies and violas by painting their container bright blue!

Oriental pots are great for exotic evergreen palms, but remember they need a sheltered spot Smiley

Hope these tips help, please share yours, have you brought something old and retired back to life recently?
