Have been watching Chelsea coverage on BBC the last couple of days. How fantastic are some of the show gardens this year, particularly liked the one with the cbottom in it, dream on over here, although the sluice gates could give the appearance at times........ha ha!

Some of the small plots are exquisite, another favourite is the "save the bee" garden. Apparently Einstein said that with the demise of the bee the world would only exist for another 4 years - how scary is that? Although we have lots of honey bees, blue carpenters ( B52´s,) and potter bees, I have only seen one true black and yellow bumble (as I call them) since we have been over here. We do try to grow encouraging plants for them and I would have thought the abundance of wild flowers in our area would help. I know the olive growers don´t help with their sprays though.
Have other members seen these elusive creatures, if so let us know, it would be interesting to monitor their existence. Enjoy Chelsea if you are watching and you avid gardeners out there don´t drool too much.
Let´s all have a discussion about our likes, dislikes, etc. of this years show.
Cheers
Suzy
nb there is a beautiful wooden chair in the Yorkshire Rhubarb and Custard garden which we would love but it looks tremendously expensive. Wonder if it is made by the Yorkshire guy who puts mousies on everything.
