Hola,

I wanted to show the progress of my little toms Smiley

I planted from seed in April and have ended up with about 30 plants! Looking forward to eating lots of these babies Smiley

Wow, these look great Gina.  My husband, Chexs, has decided to have a tomato growing project this year, so it all has to be done very scientifically of course, like guys do.    All I can say is yours are bigger than his, although his are coming on nicely!  My totally unscientific specimen has just appeared, obviously from last years seeds, all on its own and is doing okay.  We´ll see, hah!

They are yummy Gina, as you know I have grown cherry tomatoes every year since moving to Monda and they are so yummy, last year on just one day I picked no less than 400 cherry tomatoes, it was amazing, we sat and just ate them as they were - gorgeous - and that was just one day!

We had 9 plants last year and decided that was a little too many so this year we only have 2 plants of beef tomatoes and now I have the ones Gina has given me, I love this sharing malarkay!

If you like Gina I can pick some new raspberry plants that I have here, or when I get my hundreds of raspberries come harvest time I will let you have some - although you have been stealing haven´t you young lady hehehehe Wink

Last Autumn when clearing a growing terrace I found four tomato plants that had self set. So I moved them into a disussed corner and popped them into the ground. They did nothing special until the sun got up in April and we had bowl fulls of cherry tomatoes. That particular terrace has had (and still has) 80 tomato plants grown from seed (in boxes and then transplanted). These are tomate marmande and temprano, they both cropped exceeding well and at a guess we have picked about 130 kilos so far.

How can I get seeds for the big beefy campo style tomatoes?  Will they grow from saves seeds or is there that F1 hybrid problem I have heard about?
