What a beautiful shot, many congratulations. It looks like a Little Owl to me.

When we lived in rural France for two years before coming to Spain, there were many owls in the surrounding trees, and late one balmy night I sat on the lawn imitating the sound of one. In the end I must have done this quite successfully, because all of a sudden there was this large bird diving straight for me out of nowhere! Fortunately it veered off at the last moment, but I learned my lesson!

Alec.

Oh Wow that must have been really scarey but really exciting at the same time! Was it n Owl that was coming towards you?

Simone is really lucky to get them in her garden this time every year, they are beautiful birds.

Hope you are well Alec Smiley

Hahaha Alec, yeah this is a screacher owl I believe, the only owl out during the day, we see them all the time and I am so happy we have them here in our garden, I love taking images and my camera is pretty good so I am glad to have put it to good use

Funny story there about the owl flying at you, serves you right for doing it's mating call hahahaha
