When I´m watering I get a few surprises when the little teeny ones leap out, perfectly formed adults but tiny.  Not as big as my little finger nail.

Has anyone else found that the crickets, katydids,  whatever you call them, etc. are much louder and more prolific this year?  We have loads in the pine trees at the moment, which nearly deafen you but we can see them (at least with the naked eye) no matter how hard we look and as I usually have 3 dogs in tow it is difficult to use the binocs.
