This is a very popular shrub in Spanish gardens. I have several around my pond and they are all coming into bloom with deep pinks and white flowers. It makes an effective screening and windbreak planting,a long flowering hedging plant or just a very pretty shrub. The only downside of Oleander is that all the parts of the plant are highly poisonous, not that you would want to eat the leaves as they are very bitter tasting, so much so even the goats don't eat them!  Wink

Category
Shrub.

Pruning
Prune individual branches to promote branching.

Problems
Scale insect which can cause fungal infection.
